VILLAGE WALKING TOUR ... First Saturday Monthly... 10:00am-12:00noon
Sponsored by Claremont Heritage. Tour begins in front of the historic Claremont Metrolink Depot, 200 West First St. Often Ginger Elliott is the tour guide for his enjoyable walk includes the city's commercial, civic and college buildings which brings to life more than a hundred years of Claremont's history. The Labyrinth Festival at Claremont Presbyterian

Learn the art of sacred geometry in this weekend series of workshops led by labyrinth expert Lars Howlett.  Participants will have multiple opportunities to 

design, build, and walk labyrinths, while learning about the history
and spirituality behind this practice of mindfulness.

Friday, Oct. 7 6:30-9:00 — Dinner and Lecture

Join us for a simple dinner as Lars leads us through the history and mystery of labyrinths with an informal talk and slide show. The evening includes a short labyrinth walk and time for questions.

Saturday, Oct. 8 Full Day — Design, Build, and Walk a Labyrinth

Morning. Beginning at 9 a.m., Lars will provide step-by-step instructions for designing your own labyrinth. In the late morning, we will work in teams to transform everyday objects into walkable, temporary labyrinths. Lunch provided.

Afternoon. Our afternoon includes a series of labyrinth walks, including a family walk at 1 p.m. for children of all ages; a guided walk at 2:30, and a vespers walk at 5 p.m. accompanied by music.

Sunday, Oct. 9 9 a.m. -  Noon — Guided Walk and Worship.

Join us for guided labyrinth walk at 9 a.m. followed by worship in our sanctuary where Lars and Pastor Karen Sapio will speak on labyrinths and walking meditation as a form of spiritual prayer and practice.
